How to Unlock Every Marvel Tokon Color

Complete one team's Episode story and Color 5 unlocks for the four members of that Episode team. It is not a global unlock: finishing Fighting Avengers does not automatically hand the same slot to the other four launch teams.

The clean completion route is therefore to clear all five team Episodes. That also gives you the story and trophy progress you would otherwise have to return for later. Clearing your first Episode has a second, more important reward: it unlocks the hidden playable Champion.

The broad community consensus is that Color 6 unlocks for the entire roster after ten completed online matches. Several players saw it after Casual or Open Lobby matches; older launch-day posts described the condition as ten wins, while later cross-checks corrected it to ten matches played.

The lowest-risk route is to finish ten Online Casual matches without disconnecting. Check Character Select after the tenth result screen. If the color has not appeared, play additional Casual/Open Lobby matches before assuming the save is broken — the public sources do not expose an in-game progress counter, and we cannot confirm that private Room Matches count in every case.

This is the only progression color that requires online play. Color 5, Color 7, and each fighter's Color 8 can be earned against the game's single-player content.

Reach and defeat stage 100 in one active Survival run. The reward unlocks Color 7 for the whole roster, not just the leader or four characters you brought. Multiple separate completion posts agree on both the stage requirement and the global reward.

"One run" does not mean one sitting. Survival offers save-and-exit points after boss fights, so you can stop and resume that run later. A normal save preserves progress; losing the run ends it. We do not recommend force-closing the game to manipulate saves — community posts discuss it, but it is not an intended or source-verified strategy.

A practical stage-100 plan

1. Use a team you can play under pressure. A familiar punish, anti-air, and safe meter route matter more in the late run than a theoretical top-tier lineup.
2. Treat ordinary fights as recovery opportunities. Do not spend health to finish five seconds faster. Keep space, take clean hits, and carry resources into bosses.
3. Save at the offered boss checkpoints. That is what lets a 100-stage attempt fit across multiple sessions without turning it into an all-night grind.
4. Do not learn a new character at stage 80. If your current team repeatedly dies before the late bosses, rebuild the run around fighters whose basic conversions you can finish consistently.
5. Expect the final stretch to be different. First-hand reports describe the CPU and boss modifiers becoming materially harsher late in the run. A route that farms early stages is not proof it will beat stage 100.

Clearing stage 100 also opens Hard Survival according to multiple completion reports. That is a mode unlock, not an extra condition for Color 7: the color should arrive with the normal stage-100 clear.

Open Character Lessons, choose the fighter whose palette you want, and complete the Action Check plus the ten Combo Challenges. Color 8 then unlocks for that fighter only. If you want it for Spider-Man, Magik, and Storm, you must finish the required lessons separately for all three.

Launch-week first-hand reports consistently say the extra Level-Up/freeform missions are not required for the color. They may still be worth doing for practice, but do not confuse them with the ten core Combo Challenges when checking why the reward has not appeared.

The last trials are execution checks, not necessarily optimal match combos. Break a stubborn sequence into its cancel points, watch whether the example delays a hit, and verify that the dummy is at the same starting distance. Grinding the full input faster often makes a timing problem worse.
