Doctor Doom
S TierZoner / Mixup · Advanced · notes verified Aug 9, 2026
Range, projectiles and mixups make Doom one of the most versatile characters in the launch meta.
Strengths
- + Strong projectile and shield tools
- + Teleport-like dash opens mixups
- + Works in most team structures
Weaknesses
- − Feels slower than rushdown characters
- − High execution ceiling for full combos
Best Team Partners
Community suggestions for team synergy. Magik and Star-Lord pair well with Doctor Doom in the recorded launch notes.

Doom earns his spot as the team's control point. He covers the approach from range while partners handle the messy mid-range, and his projectile game makes assist calls easier to convert. In the shared-life-bar system he is a safe anchor: he protects the bar instead of burning it.
Pick or Skip
Pick Doom if you want one character that slots into almost any team and you are willing to lab execution. Skip him if you want fast, simple pressure — his payoff comes after practice.
How to Play
Doom is a 'control the mid-range, then make them guess' character. Learn to threaten with his shield and projectiles first; his mixups only matter once the opponent stops walking forward. In training, get one projectile-hit conversion to a knockdown, then practice the pressure that follows.
